Fall Conference Planning Meeting May 21, 2009

Western Division members will be meeting on Tuesday, June 9 at 5:00 pm to share ideas on Program/Presenters for the Fall Convention. If you cannot attend but have ideas (or are willing to present), please contact Mary Flesberg or Denita Clapp. The goal is to get a preliminary program set by the end of June.

Register now for the Google Tools workshop at South Central College in Faribault. This workshop will be held on June 18, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Many teachers use Google search, but Google also provides dozens of other free tools for educators—and it seems like there’s “even more” every day. This workshop will provide learns an opportunity to see how Google can be used to enhance any classroom using tools for teacher productivity and student learning. Discover amazing tools available to students, teachers and educational institutions that are looking for collaboration and communication tools. Participants will discuss how school districts are increasing student learning and collaboration by leveraging free Google tools. Clock hour certificates will be given at the conclusion of the workshop.

MBEI Spring Conference February 17, 2009

The MBEI Spring 2009 Conference is approaching quickly! Mark your calendars for Tuesday, April 14, 2009. The conference will be held at Normandale Community College in Bloomington. Sessions include Smart Board training, simulations, work-based learning, podcasting, marketing your program, Surveygizmo, and Google Apps. The opening speaker is Nathan Dungan, author of Share, Save, Spend. Registration is due April 1.
