Posted by admin in : News and Events , comments closedMBEI, as a partnering organization for AP Accounting, is happy to announce that the registration is currently posted on our website for the Advanced Placement Accounting Workshop to be held July 14-16, 2010 at Wayzata High School. More information about the workshop is included on the registration form here.
Registration has opened and you can register electronically here (which will hold your spot) then mail in your fee or you can print the flyer and send it in together. Act quickly as registration is limited to 75. Priority will be given to Minnesota schools and you must be able to implement this in the fall of 2010.
Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity for Business Education to participate in the world of Advanced Placement. This is our chance to meet the wants and needs of many students in preparing them for the future!

Virtual Team Challenge March 2, 2010
Posted by admin in : News and Events , comments closedVirtual Team Challenge is a “Virtual World” 3D simulation-based learning curriculum offered at NO COST to high school teachers and students for Spring 2010. The program meets National Standards for Business Education and is supported by lesson plans that incorporate the game’s missions. 10,000 students participated last year, collaborating to manage the clean-up of an Oil Spill in New City and win prizes for themselves, their schools, and the United Way. Registration is now open at www.virtualteamchallenge.com. The program runs March 15 – April 30.
2010 MBEI Spring Conference March 1, 2010
Posted by admin in : News and Events , comments closedThe 2010 MBEI Spring Conference, “DigiTeacherZ”, will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010 at ITT Technical Institute, 8911 Columbine Road, Eden Prairie, MN 55347. Cindy Drahos and Jean Kyle have been working very hard to plan and organize this day of technology for the members of MBEI. We appreciate all of the time and effort it takes to make a conference like this happen and we thank them very much!
Registration is now open and must be received by March 15 to secure your place at the event as seating is limited.

We are proud to have Jean M. Kyle as our State Specialist. She has brought national recognition to herself and to the state of Minnesota as she was named this year’s winner of the 2009 Distinguished Service Award for Outstanding Contributions to Business Education by a Supervisor of Business Education. This honor was presented at the Awards Luncheon at the (NBEA) National Business Education Association Convention in Chicago. We are very fortunate to have someone as dedicated as Jean working for and with us in Business Education!
